Our annual food drive is here!
This year, as we celebrate Nanyang's 100 year anniversary, we will be having a class-initiated food drive.
Our Primary Five pupils will be collecting food items to be given to the elderly residents living in one-room flats under the care of Yong-En Care Centre.
The rationale of the food drive is to nurture a sense of gratitude and empathy towards others.
This time, the pupils will be taking greater ownership in the entire process of packing and delivering.
There will be a class discussion where pupils decide as a group on the items that they will bring, based on a checklist of food items provided.
All food items will need to be brought to class by 20 Feb.
Please check that the food items donated are halal and have a shelf life of at least 6 months before expiry.
We regret to inform that there is a strict list of food items to follow and we will have to refuse any perishable food.
